Report on the Gaiafield Meditation and Prayer Vigil

Thank you SO much to all those who participated in our pilot Gaiafield Meditation and Prayer Vigil on Sept 21, 2006!

We were deeply thrilled to feel the beautiful quality of the global field we all co-created during the event. We linked hundreds of people at live venues at the Findhorn Foundation Community (Scotland), Auroville (India) and the California Institute of Integral Studies (USA) and reached over 4000 online participants on six different continents. We were profoundly touched by the haunting chants from Auroville, the heart-felt prayers that were sung and spoken from Findhorn and CIIS, and the beautiful spiral dance and Celtic blessing from Findhorn. While the audio-visual features of the broadcast did not all work as well as we had hoped, we learned a tremendous amount from this experiment that we will be able to implement to make future global meditation experiences even more impactful.

What’s Next?
We intend to convene two global meditation events next year, one on March 21 and the other on September 21. We are just beginning to dream up the details of the March event. We look forward to sharing more with you as things develop!
